Hi, I dunno who runs da joint now, I used to speak with Danny Hagen many moons ago when Cherry Red and my band The Seers were in cahoots. I've recently come across a US movie called THE AMERICAN ASTRONAUT and have formed a friendship with the director/writer/star Cory McAbee. You may not have heard of the film, but fairplay if you have, you have diserning taste and know quality. In case you haven't, it's a sci-fi-musical-comedy-western shot in B&W and was financed by Sundance film org. It's garnered loads of praise, but due to a mishap never got distribution. It happens to be a lost gem of a movie. I've already bought 4 copies of it a pressies in the last few months. I've managed to screen it several times at a small theatre in Herne Hill where my friend Cory also participated in a couple of live webcasts which went really well. He also has a band called THE BILLY NAYER SHOW and their music provides the soundtrack to the film. The only place you can get the movie is directly through Cory. There are some clips on YouTube if you want to check it out? Please get back to me on this one. It's the cultiest movie I've ever come across and should not have slipped under the radar, it is very, very good. Please get back to me soon and maybe I can invite you to a screening or get you a copy of the DVD.
regards
Jason

Long overdue is a CD of recordings by Jan Bradley who had one chart hit in 1963 and cut many other singles up to 1968.
So far no label has issued any of the music.Only Chess have issued the one song Mama didn't lie
